The most expensive lighter by S.T. Dupont

先日フランス大使館公邸にて1872年以来続く騎士道精神を持つフランスのブランド『S.T.Dupont （エス・テー・デュポン）』の2014−15年新作コレクションお披露目カクテルが行われ、「D」の紋章を施した新作「ブラゾン・コレクション」を発表した。Il y a quelques semaines, je suis allée à l’ambassade de France pour assister à la présentation et au cocktail organisés par ST Dupont. J’ai pu y découvrir la nouvelle collection 2014-15, sur le thème “Burazon Collection” avec la lettre « D » comme emblème.

『S.T.Dupont』は高級ライターや万年筆で知られるフランス王室御用達のブランドであり、現在でもフランス政府やエリート達をはじめ、愛用されている。
“S.T. Dupont” is a French popular brand for luxury pen and lighter that many French Royal families or governments have been using.

メゾンのアイデンティティである『EXCELLENCE～最高級』『NOBILITY～高貴さ』『PRIDE～誇り』『LOYALTY～忠実さ』の4つの騎士道をデザインに入れ込み完成した完璧なラグジュアリーなライターやペンをこの目で見てみたり
I watched these gorgeous objects, which designs can be describe using the four words of the S.T. Dupond Maison’s identity: “EXCELLENCE” “NOBILITY” “PRIDE”, and “LOYALTY”.

新作コレクションの他に、2012年よりフランス政府から「無形文化財企業」の認定ラベルを付与され、2013年より創設された部門「オート・クリエーション」のコレクションは、100％職人によるハンドメイドにより製造される。

実際にフランスの工房で職人として活躍しているフレデリック・クリル氏のデモンストレーションが会場にて行われたり、

また、ジェームスボンドやオードリー・ペプバーン、パブロ・ピカソなどの限定コレクション、バッグコレクションなどもフランス大使公邸に大集合でした。
In addition, limited collection like Audrey Pepuban, James Bond, and Picasso etc…. and bags collection were also presented at the French embassy.

そして、特に今回の目玉だったものはこちら！なんだ、この秘宝は？！

「世界で最も高価なライター」としてギネスブックによって公式認定されている『The Unique Louis XIII Fleur de Parme（ルイ13世フルール・ド・パルム）』のライターセット。フランス王室を象徴するユリの花、王冠そして王の杖をモチーフに、370グラムの純金でできており、そこにはブリリアント・カットサファイアを40個以上、カボション・カットサファイアを13個の合わせて33.6カラットものサファイアを使用している宝石ライターである！ちなみに隣にあるポケットライターは、計31カラットのサファイアからなっている。2つあわせて、お値段なんと1億円！
“Louis XIII Fleur de Palm” which is the most expensive lighter and it’s nominated in the Guinness Book of Records. It is made from pure gold of 370g, and total is 33.6 kt of sapphire! This pocket lighter was made from a total of 31 kt sapphires. The two prices together, it would be 100 million yen ! wow

The collection of ST Dupont, which has been inspired by Renaissance-Baroque style from the descendant of Louis XIII, Princess Tania of Bourbon-Parme’s house. I am looking forward to discover the new gorgeous handmade collection with traditional technic in the future.
